Today is National College Signing Day! Along with Michelle Obama and the Better Make Room initiative, Horizons celebrates our high school seniors who have made the commitment to go on to college.
Many of our students come from neighborhoods or communities where, with low high school graduation rates, college is a distant dream. That's why we're proud to say that most Horizons students stay with our program from Pre-K through high school, and 91% of our high graduates continue their education past high school — whether at a professional training program, community college, or a four-year college or university.
Many of our graduates are the first in their family to go to college, and it’s a big step. That’s why our high school programs work hard to make sure Horizons students and their families are ready for what’s ahead.
From preparing for the college application process, to arranging for college visits, to learning about college expenses and financial aid, Horizons students are ready to take charge of their future.
Today, as we all celebrate the brighter future a college education makes possible, we could not be more proud of our college-bound Horizons students!
